Description

Appearance

A huge Earth Genasi that who stands a little over six-and-a-half feet tall. His chalky white skin has all the texture of heavily fissured limestone, and leaves streaks of dust on whatever he touches. His eyes are faceted and a rich green colour, like sparkling emeralds

Personality

Wedge wields an enormous glistening maul, with crystalline serrations running along its handles and around the head. Whilst capable of dishing out huge amounts of damage, the maul is enchanted such that those brought down by its swing are automatically stabilised (which is necessary, because he sure as hell isn’t going to be holding back).

Slow to anger and slower to upset, Wedge is an enormous man with an enormous appetite and a refined taste in tea. His calm and stoic temperament has led him to great heights within the Harmonium, able to weather crisis after crisis and remain not only in charge of his faction, but liked and respected to boot.

Don’t be the one who manages to piss him off though. He knows how to use that maul in ways more violent than you’d expect (and it’s a bloody violent maul at that). Should you somehow incur his wrath, he will stop at nothing till you are dead or in chains.

History

Born in Athas as an Earthsoul Genasi, Wedge was forever outcast among those he encountered in his limited travels. Most of his upbringing was spent sheltered away by his overprotective father, distraught from the death of Wedge’s mother shortly after his birth. When his father was slain by elven raiders, Wedge ran for his life. He ran and ran and ran until he found himself in a City like no other.

A Harmonium patrol encountered Wedge upon his arrival, initially alert and protective of this terrified child. The temporary commanding officer of that patrol was a Mover called Isalda, who personally saw to Wedge’s safety and induction into life in Sigil - taking him in much as a mother would.

Wedge loved Sigil. He loved the people, the smog, the law and the lawlessness. To best serve the city that he loved, he followed in Isalda’s footsteps, signing up with the Harmonium and working his way through the ranks.

He did good, making his way to Mover 3rd class in little time at all. Then, at the Second Upheaval, the Factol - and Isalda - were slain. The next highest ranking member took charge of the Harmonium, until he died shortly thereafter… this repeated until Wedge found himself suddenly the highest ranking member of the Harmonium in Sigil.

Once the calamity that was the Second Upheaval was declared over, Wedge was formally cemented as the Faction’s new Factol.
