Description
Appearance
Long raven-black tresses flow freely and without style down the back of this lithe, asymmetric spikey-armoured woman. She dual-wields a large axe and a broadsword as fluidly as knives. Beautiful, fractal earrings cascade down the sides of her face and to her shoulders.
Personality
Pentar is an erratic individual who one would have no trouble believing was a Sinker at heart. She is a woman with a love of entropy in all its forms. Chaos, mayhem, bloodshed, destruction…. These are but some of her favourite words.
Pentar has a particular fascination with Modrons, in particular the Modron March and Rogue Modrons… to her, there is something rather beautiful about the most lawful beings acting as agents of entropy, and she would love to see them in action once more.
History
Pentar was born and raised in the Outlands, in the gatetown of Xaos. As such, lawlessness and chaos was a part and parcel of everyday life. Destruction was a thing she learned to embrace, and frequently took to death-defying stunts just to challenge entropy (she once threw a raging party in an active volcano… she was the only one to survive).
When the final Modron March made its rounds, she retired from the leadership and let the factors fight among themselves for the position of factol. Her plan was to follow the march, see what made it tick, then out-compete them for entropy’s favour by putting a stop to it with force. She didn’t expect to survive. She was expecting to go out in a blaze of glory…
She lived, considering herself entropy’s champion and returning to Sigil once the doors had opened up again. The faction took her back (because no-one was going to challenge her after that), but she decided to maintain a position as a Doomknight to let the status quo sort itself out, as things were still quite chaotic within the faction.
Truth be told, she was starting to get bored of things until the previous Factol died a mysterious death. Now that she's been brought out of retirement, she's finding herself rather enjoying leading the forces of chaos once more. That said, she'd still much rather cede the position to someone with gall enough to kill her, or at the very least take the responsibility for Sands.
Most importantly to note though, is that she is *not* the Factol. The Lady wouldn't be happy about that (the Lady's decree that ended the Second Upheaval forced all the Factols at the time - Pentar included - to step down.
So nope, Pentar's just a woman on a mission. Hopefully she can find a replacement before a Factol is actually *needed*...
