Table of Contents
Description
Appearance
A smooth-headed dwarf with ashen skin and a short, braided white beard. They wear a fine, tie-dye silk shirt - with a scandalous number of buttons undone - and a gaudy pair of purple and gold puffy trousers. They jingle when they move, the large amounts of jewellery all clanking together.
Personality
Anmora wears a lot of expensive jewellery and magical items, making no small show of their extraordinary wealth. They love to mingle and lavish any guests with the finest wines and canapes around, and are never short for entertainment. They also always carry multiple daggers, deadly poisons and a booby-trapped satchel about their person.
Anmora does a good job of putting out an air of an easy mark. They carry a lot of fine jewellery and clothing, travel relatively undefended, and seemingly invite conversation. They’re a people person through and through.
A socialite.
An opportunist.
See, Anmora is more than capable of holding their own. They survived the underdark after all - mind flayers, beholders and dumbass adventurers alike. So when someone tries to rob them, Anmora makes sure they leave with less than they started with.
History
Anmora did not have a happy upbringing, that much can be said for sure. As a Duergar raised in the underdark of Faerun, they were privy to nightmares and horrors abound. They made a number of attempts to escape from that life, never quite being satisfied with the ennui and pessimism that was part and parcel of life in the Underdark.
Sadly, their third attempt to escape succeeded in the wrong way - they found themselves wandering into a mountain dwarf stronghold. The reaction was… less than stellar, and Anmora quickly learned that evil was not always confined to the Underdark.
After longer than they’d have liked rotting in a dwarven cell, Anmora made yet another escape attempt… one that succeeded and dumped them in the streets of Sigil.
They. Loved. Sigil. The people, the smells, the sights, the entertainments… they assimilated quickly and completely. The Sensates were a natural draw, what with their love of new experiences. They built a web of contacts and schmoozed their way to the top. Easy as.
Oh, and led a little criminal enterprise on the side with their newfound husband Gerald, smuggling goods and people out of the underdark and undermining the plans of nefarious forces.
Equipment
Anmora is loaded with magical items and equipment. Most notably they have a periapt of health, +2 padded armour and a rapier of speed. They should also be assumed to carry 1d10 potions and 1d4 scrolls on them at all times - as well as several thousand gold pieces worth of diamonds.
