Chukken

Contents

The Chukken is a strange creature who somehow thrives in the desolate cityscape that is the Cage. Bred for their eggs (which are about the size of a large man’s fist), these noble beasts can be found just about anywhere the Greeners congregate in droves. The Reclaimed Foundry is especially noisy, with several dozen Chukkens roaming freely among the razorvine.

Chickenborne. A Chukken looks almost identical to a golden sebright chicken, with yellowy-orange feathers laced with black around the edges. The only difference is that the Chukken is roughly the size of a young bear.

Hardy Stomach. The Chukken thrives so well in Sigil in part due to the peculiarities of their diet. They eat just about anything, taking whatever scraps they can find, or even savaging a cranium rat if they get lucky. They live in symbiosis with the Greeners - providing eggs in return for food and shelter (and scritches).

Loud Buggers. The Chukken is a notoriously loud creature when it needs to be, capable of emitting a scream that would rival a soprano who trod on a nail. Thankfully they reserve their noise for the crack of whatever passes for dawn in Sigil, or when they are encroached upon by unwanted company.

Cockatrice. The Chukken is a hybrid cross of a chicken and a cockatrice. A male cockatrice is needed to fertilise any eggs should additional Chukkens be desired.
